Why isn’t Tom Burridge (class of 74,) in the Hall? Not only was he one of the best milers and two milers in the State in high school but because of him little tiny Batavia could compete and beat big time programs throughout the State. He went to the University of Kentucky on a full ride track and field scholarship. Hell, at one time he held the the American Marathon record. After his running career was over he became an accomplished bicycle racer. He actually still competes at or near 70. His accomplishments may not rise to the fame of say a Dan Issel or Kenny Anderson but they are just as notable. Put Tom in!!!!! Also, congratulations to Coach Walker. One of my favorite coaches and people ever.

Why isn’t Tom Burridge (class of 1974) included in the Hall of Fame?He was an outstanding miler and two miler. Did incredible at the State meet. Went to the University of Kentucky on full ride track scholarship. Even held the American Marathon record for a while l. He was the reason little, tiny Batavia could compete against the big boys in track and field and we were pretty damn good in those days. After he quit running competitively he took up bicycle racing and was very accomplished at that. He still competes today. Come on guys, Tom Burridge definitely needs to be included in the BHS Hall of Fame.
