Batavia High School alumni from two distinct eras reconnected, celebrated, and walked the familiar halls of their alma mater. The Classes of 1985 and 2005 held their respective reunions from July 11-13, with a special highlight being a shared tour of Batavia High School, where past Bulldogs were awed by the changes and reminisced about the memories made during their times at Batavia High School.
If any other classes are planning reunions, please contact Bulldog Nation so that we can support you during your planning, promote it through our website, and then publish a recap and photos to share with other classmates!

Class of '85 Celebrates 40th Reunion!

The Batavia High School Class of 1985 recently celebrated its 40th reunion, and while attendance numbers may have been modest, the spirit of camaraderie and fun was anything but! Those who gathered had a truly memorable weekend reconnecting and reminiscing.
The festivities kicked off on Friday night with an impromptu gathering at JT's Tavern. When Windmill City Days shut down due to impending weather, about 30 classmates pivoted quickly and enjoyed a relaxed evening catching up with old friends.
Saturday offered a fascinating trip down memory lane with a tour of BHS. A dozen classmates and their guests, led by Aimee and Jeff Miller (both current teachers at BHS), marveled at how much the school has transformed over the past four decades.
The reunion culminated on Saturday evening with a lively buffet dinner at Overflow in downtown Batavia. Around 48 classmates and their guests enjoyed a delicious meal provided by Fancy Nancy Charcuterie and Riverside Pizza. The evening was full of laughter and good cheer, complete with a popular photo booth that captured many smiles.
A special highlight of the dinner was the presentation of a 60510 Swag Bag filled with gifts from downtown Batavia. This special award went to Diane Lawrence Mittan, who holds the impressive distinction of always being the first to RSVP for class reunions and travels all the way from her home in Missouri to attend! Attendees also received a thoughtful gift bag containing a koozie, cookies, and a drink ticket, each adorned with a class picture printed by Kon Printing.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the Class of '85's 40th reunion such a success! The weekend was a wonderful reminder of the strong bonds formed during our time at Batavia High School. The Class of '85 truly knows how to make the most of every moment, and we're already looking forward to our next gathering!

A Weekend to Remember!
The Batavia High School Class of 2005 recently celebrated its 20-year reunion, a weekend filled with reconnecting, reminiscing, and seeing how much Batavia has grown! Despite a few last-minute changes, the reunion was a resounding success, bringing together Bulldogs from near and far.
Friday Night: A Casual Kick-Off at Sturdy Shelter
Originally planned for Windmill City Fest (it was rained out), the Friday evening casual get-together for families was relocated to Sturdy Shelter. This change didn't dampen spirits, as classmates gathered to kick off the reunion weekend with good company and conversation.
Saturday Morning: Market Strolls and School Tours
Saturday started bright and early with many grads enjoying the Batavia Farmers Market on North River Street. With over 50 vendors, it was the perfect opportunity to stroll, catch up with fellow alums, and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of this community favorite.
Later that morning, the Class of 2005, joined by members of the Class of 1985, embarked on a joint tour of Batavia High School. Meeting at the Main Street entrance, approximately 30-40 individuals from each class explored the significant transformations that have taken place over the past two decades. Highlights included seeing the "new" Field House and the impressive Fine Arts Center. It was a fascinating look at how much our alma mater has evolved!
Saturday Evening: The Main Event at Water Street Studios
The culmination of the weekend was the main event held at Water Street Studios. From 7 PM to 10 PM, nearly 100 members of the Class of 2005 gathered for an evening of lively celebration, heartfelt reconnections, drinks, and light fare. The venue proved to be an excellent choice, fostering a wonderful atmosphere for catching up and making new memories. We highly recommend Water Street Studios for anyone planning future events
What a fantastic weekend it was for the Batavia High School Class of 2005! It was a true testament to the enduring bonds forged during our time as Bulldogs. Seeing so many familiar faces, sharing stories, and witnessing the incredible changes in Batavia made for an unforgettable reunion.
